CISF Recruitment 2022: ASI and Head constable - Selection Process

CISF Head constable and ASI 2022 selection process consists of 4 stages:
  1. Physical Standard Test
  2. Written Test
  3. Skill Test
  4. Medical Test

1. Physical Standard Test - Stage 1

Candidates have to first appear for the physical Standard test. The applicants who will be satisfying the required needs, will be shortlisted based on The physical eligibility criteria set by CISF

2. Online Written Exam - Stage 2

The candidates who clear the PST will appear for the online written exam. It is an objective type test consisting of 100 questions with duration of 2 hours. Candidates will then be shortlisted on the basis of their performance.

The CISF ASI and Head Constable written exam pattern covers all 4subjects and total paper is of 100 marks. The exam pattern is as follows-
  • Mode of exam- CBT/OMR Based
  • Question type- Multiple choice questions.
  • Exam duration- 2 hours or 120 minutes.

3. Skill Test

The number of candidates to be called for the Skill Test would purely depend on merit in the written examination for which qualifying marks would be 35% for UR/EWS/Ex.Servicemen and 33% for SC/ST/OBC. However, it will not be mandatory to call all the qualified candidates in the written examination for skill tests i.e. (Dictation & Transcription for Assistant sub Inspector (Stenographer) & Typing Test for Head Constable (Ministerial).

4. Document Verification and Medical Examination

Candidates who get selected in the written exam, physical test and skill test need to prove that they are in good health by fulfilling all the conditions. Lastly, document verification takes place where documents such as mark sheets, passport size photographs, proof of photo id, Aadhaar, PAN card will be verified.
