What is Indian Navy MR 2023?

The full form of Agniveer Navy MR is "Matric Recruit." The Indian Navy recruits MR for non-technical posts in the Indian navy. The responsibilities of MR include preparing food (vegetarian and non-vegetarian, including the handling of meat items) and accounting for rations. Agniveer Navy MR 2022 | Vacancy Details

The official announcement states that 100 applications will be examined for the written exam, physical fitness test, and medical criteria, out of which 20 females will be selected for the post. Navy MR 2023 Eligibility | Age Limit

Candidates must be citizens of India. Candidates applying for Indian Navy MR Recruitment should be between the ages of 17 and 20. They must have been born between 01 May 2002 and 31 Oct 2005 at the time of application. The Indian Navy does not grant any age relaxation to candidates from the reserved category.

Navy MR 2023 Eligibility | Marital Status

Only unmarried male and unmarried female candidates are eligible to join the Indian Navy as Agniveers. Candidates must agree not to marry until they have completed their ab initio training. A candidate may be discharged from service if he or she marries during ab initio training or is discovered to be married despite having given an undertaking to the contrary.

  • Navy MR 2023- Death Compensation - In addition to insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakh, one-time ex-gratia of Rs. 44 Lakh for death attributable to service, will be provided to the NOK.
  • Navy MR 2023- Disability Compensation - One-time ex-gratia of Rs. 44/ 25/ 15 Lakh based on % of disability (100%/ 75%/ 50%) shall be applicable to Agniveers.
  • Navy MR 2023- Naval Pension Regulations/ Gratuity - Agniveers are not subject to the provisions of the Naval Pension Regulations/Rules (as amended from time to time). Furthermore, Agniveers will not be entitled to a gratuity during the engagement time.
  • Navy MR 2023- Medical & CSD Facilities - For the duration of their engagement period in the Indian Navy, Agniveers will be entitled to Medical facilities at service hospitals as well as CSD provisions

The Navy MR 2023 Physical Fitness Test (PFT) consists of the following physical tests:

Navy MR 2023 | Medical Test

Candidates must be physically and psychologically fit to fulfill their jobs. An applicant's minimum acceptable height should be 157 cm, with a minimum chest expansion of 5 cm. Candidates are also encouraged to get tartar removed from their teeth and their ears cleaned for wax before taking the medical examination. The INS Chilka will host the Enrolment Medical Examination.

Navy MR 2023 | Merit List

The merit list will be generated based on written examination performance, subject to qualification in the Physical Fitness Test. The Merit List for Agniveer (MR) - male candidates will be based on state merit, and the cut-off marks for issuing call-up letters for Recruitment Medical Examination at INS Chilka may differ from state to state. The Agniveer (MR) - female applicant merit list would be based on all India merit. In the event that two candidates achieve the same cut-off marks in the Written Examination, the candidate with the higher percentage in the qualifying examination, i.e. 10th, will be chosen for the Recruitment Medical Examination at INS Chilka.
