 ➤The National Testing Agency, which is sanctioned by the Ministry of Education and UGC, has been given the responsibility of administering the University Common Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admission into Central Universities, participating Universities/Institutes/Organizations/Autonomous Colleges.
 ➤The CUET (UG) aims to create a fair and equal opportunity for students who are seeking admission into any Central University or other participating organizations, including State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities, across the country.
 ➤For the academic session 2023-24, the CUET (UG) 2023 examination will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format.

The CUET  Notification 2023 was released on February 9, 2023. NTA also released a Detailed CUET 2023 brochure along with a CUET 2023 notification. Candidates can check the CUET 2023 notification on the official website at CUET (UG) - 2023.

CUET 2023 | Eligibility Criteria

The CUET 2023 eligibility criteria is listed below:
  • ➤ Qualification: For UG, candidates must have qualified 12th level exam.
  • ➤ Nationality: Indian
  • Those failed in 1 or 2 subjects will not be considered.
  • ➤ Age Limit: No age limit to apply for CUET UG 2023 examination.  
Note: The eligibility criteria may differ as per different universities.

CUET 2023 Syllabus

The CUET syllabus for 2023 is structured in a similar manner to previous years, consisting of three distinct sections. The first section is divided into two subsections, 1A and 1B, and covers language-related questions. The second section focuses on domain-specific questions, while the third section includes questions for the General Test and Ability. The table below provides a comprehensive overview of the different sections and the corresponding syllabus that candidates must prepare for the CUET 2023 entrance examination.

CUET 2023 Cutoff

 The CUET 2023 cut-off marks will be disclosed in two phases. Initially, it will be declared along with the release of the CUET result through the scorecard. Later, it will be officially announced in conjunction with the publication of the CUET merit lists for 2023 and the initiation of counseling.

CUET Counselling 2023

Counselling procedure will be held through both online as well as offline mode. Every central university will held their own counselling procedure on for their offered programs. Counselling fee and procedure for every central university will be different. Applicants will be able to get complete information of counselling procedure through the official website of individual participating institution.
The counselling procedure will be held for successfully registered Applicants only. Applicants will be invited for the admission on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam.
Applicants will also have to bring the following document along with them at the time of counselling:

  • ➤ Transfer certificate

CUET 2023 FAQs

Question 1: In what language will the CUET question paper be written?
Answer: The CUET exam will be in English, except for language courses.
Question 2: What are the ways to apply for CUET 2023?
Answer: CUET 2023 applications must be submitted through online mode only, and no other forms of application will be accepted.
Question 3: Is it possible for a candidate to submit two application forms for two different courses at the same time?
Answer: If eligible, candidates may apply for multiple courses. However, submitting duplicate or multiple forms for the same course is not permitted and may result in the cancellation of all their applications.
Question 4: Is there a limit to the number of universities a candidate can select during registration?
Answer: There does not appear to be any limit on the number of universities a candidate can select during the registration process.
Question 5: What is the maximum amount of tests a candidate can take in the CUET examination?
Answer: It is expected that a candidate can take a maximum of 9 tests. This includes a combination of either 2 language tests, 6 subject-specific tests, and 1 general test, or 3 language tests, 5 subject-specific tests, and 1 general test.
