The State Bank of India (SBI) will issue the SBI PO 2023 Notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers on its official website, i.e. @sbi.co.in. Along with its official notification this year, SBI will also announce 1700+ Probationary Officer vacancies to be filled through SBI PO 2023. SBI PO 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Any candidate applying for SBI PO 2023 must meet the eligibility criteria, which include the following, according to the SBI PO Notification 2023.
The eligibility Criteria for SBI PO consists of three factors which are given below:
  • Nationality
  • Age Limit
  • Educational Qualification

SBI PO Nationality

  • The candidates must hold Indian Citizenship
  • A Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
  • A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, or Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

SBI PO 2023 Age Limit

A candidate must be at least 21 years old and no older than 30 years old at the time of registration to apply for the SBI PO 2023 examination. Aside from that, there is age relaxation applicable to category-wise candidates for SBI PO 2023 as per government norms.

SBI PO 2023 Perks and Allowances

The SBI PO candidates have various benefits along with in-hand salary, all the benefits are given below:

Dearness Allowance DA is 46.9% of the basic pay.
City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) This depends on the place of posting and varies from 3% to 4%.
Leased House Accommodation SBI PO may take a house on rent, the amount of which varies with the place of posting between a minimum of. Rs. 8000/- (rural areas) and a maximum of Rs. 29500/- (in Urban).
Furniture Allowance Rs. 120000/- per annum for the purchase of furniture
Medical Insurance 100% medical coverage for SBI employees and 75% for their family members
Travelling Allowance For official travels, reimbursement of AC 2-tier fare is provided to the employees.

SBI PO 2023 Exam Pattern

Candidates applying for the SBI PO 2023 exam must know the exam pattern which is mentioned below:

SBI PO 2023 Prelims Exam Pattern

The SBI Preliminary Examination consisting of an Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

  • Note: 1/4th mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Selection criteria for the Main Examination: Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Examination. There will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates numbering 10 times (approx.) the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Main Examination from the top of the above merit list.

SBI PO 2023 Mains Exam Pattern

The main examination will be held online and will consist of 200-mark Objective Tests and a 50-point Descriptive Test. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately following the Objective Test, and candidates will be required to type their answers on the computer.

  • Selection criteria for Phase III: A category-wise merit list will be created based on the total number of marks secured in Phase II (Main Exam). There will be no sectional severance.
  • Candidates from the top of the category-wise merit list, numbering up to three times (approx.) the number of vacancies, will be shortlisted for Phase III, subject to a candidate scoring the minimum aggregate qualifying score, as determined by the Bank.

SBI PO 2023 Group Discussion & Interview

Psychometric Test: The Bank may conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase III. The finding of the test may be placed before the Interview panel for having a thorough perspective on the candidates.
Phase III of SBI PO consists of two tests which are given in the table below:

SBI PO 2023 Final Selection

Candidates must qualify in both Phase II and Phase III separately. For preparing the final merit list, the marks obtained in the Main Examination (Phase II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Phase III. The Preliminary Examination (Phase I) marks will not be added when preparing the final merit list for selection.
The marks obtained by the candidates in Phase II (Main Examination both Objective & Descriptive Tests) and Phase III (Group Exercise & Interview) will be normalized to 100 marks as detailed below.
