Selection Process for Haryana Police Sub Inspector (SI) 2022

Uttar Pradesh Police sub-inspector are selected as per a specified selection process. Candidates need to clear each stage to be eligible for Haryana Police Sub Inspector (SI). Hence your only focus should be to perform well at every stage. Haryana Police SI selection process consists of 4 stages:

  1. Knowledge Test (80% weightage)
  2. Physical Screening Test
  3. Physical Measurement Test

Exam Pattern - Haryana SI Selection Process Stage 1

Physical Screening Test - Haryana SI Selection Process Stage 2

The candidates who have qualified in Knowledge Test shall be put to a Physical Screening Test, which would be only qualifying in nature, to judge their physical fitness and endurance. The standards prescribed for this test shall be as under:-

Note: The candidates who fail to meet the standards prescribed for the Physical Screening Test shall stand eliminated from the further selection process.

Physical Measurement Test - Haryana SI Selection process - Stage 3

Candidates who pass the Physical Screening Test must then take the Physical Measurement Test, which is outlined below.

Note: Only candidates who meet the Physical Measurement Test standards will be considered for the next round of selection.

Additional Qualification (10% weightage) - Stage 4

  • Education (maximum 07 marks):
    • 04 Marks for the candidate with higher education i.e. a Graduation degree in Law, Computer Engineering/Science, Forensic Medicine, Forensic Science,
      Police Science and Criminology (which-take 04 or more years after 10+2
      to get a specialized degree) issued from a recognized university 
    • 03 Marks for a Post Graduate degree in any of the aforementioned streams issued from a recognized university.
    • Note: No equivalent degrees shall be considered.
    • Note: Candidates with a Post Graduate degree in any stream other than the ones mentioned above shall get no extra marks. However, the candidates having a degree over and above their Post Graduation e.g. M.Phil or Ph. D in streams other than the ones mentioned above will get additional three (03) marks.
  • NCC Certificate (maximum 03 marks)
    • Candidates having NCC certificates of A, B, or C levels shall get 01, 02, and 03 marks respectively (for both constables and Sub-Inspector).

Miscellaneous (10% weightage) - Stage 5 (Final)

  1. 5 Marks shall be given if neither the applicant nor any person from among the applicant’s father, mother, spouse, brother, and Son is, was or has been a regular employee in any Department/Board/Corporation/Company/StatutoryBody/ Commission/Authority of Government of Haryana or any other State Government or Government of India.
  2. 5 Marks shall be given, if the applicant is:
    1.  a widow; or
    2. the first or the second child and his father had died before
      attaining the age of 42 years
    3. the first or the second child and his father had died before the applicant had attained the age of 15 years.
  3. 5 Marks will be given, if the applicant belongs to such a denotified tribe (Vimukt Jatis and Tapriwas Jatis) or Nomadic tribe of
    Haryana which is neither a Scheduled Caste nor a Backward Class.
