CHS Admission 2023| Notification

The online application window for CHS Admission 2023 is expected to open from February 25, 2023. There will be a common admission process for VI, IX and XI classes at Central Hindu Girls' School (CHGS) and Central Hindu Boys' School (CHBS). CHS Admission 2023 for classes VI and IX will be through e-lottery, while admission to class XI will be based on performance in the class X examination. CHS Admission 2023| Previous Exam History

There was no CHS Admission 2022 test conducted by Banaras Hindu University to select students for admission to Central Hindu Girls' School (CHGS) and Central Hindu Boys' School (CHBS). An e-lottery was conducted for classes VI and IX, while admission to class XI was based on performance in class X.

CHS Admission 2023| Application Fee

  When completing and submitting the form, students must pay the registration fee. Payment of the fee is required for the application to be approved; otherwise, the application will be rejected.Applicants who wish to submit their application fee offline may do so by depositing the money in any HDFC bank.Individuals who wish to submit their application online may do so through e-banking services and other online wallets.In case of offline method, the fees can be paid by issuing a request for payment. It is recommended to print a copy of the challan. Applicants are required to complete the deposit slip with all essential details.

CHS Admission 2023| Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for CHS Admission 2023 to the institution, applicants must meet the following requirements-
  • To be admitted to the 6th grade, students should have completed the 5th grade from an accredited institution and be between the ages of 10 and 12.
  • For 9th grade, students should be between 13 and 15 years old and have passed the grade 8th test from an accredited educational institution.
  • To register for 11th grade, students should be at least 18 years old and have passed the 10th grade examination from an accredited university or institution.
If enrolling for SET, know the following-
  •  Students who have scored more than 60 percent in 10th grade and more than 50 percent in science and math may enroll in science.
  • An applicant can enroll in the commerce stream if he or she has scored more than 55 percent in 10th grade.
  • Applicants who have completed 10th grade may enroll in the humanities program.
  •   In addition to the above conditions, an applicant (except SC /ST/DIVYANG (OH)) may be admitted to the above classes only if he/she has scored at least 33% on the school's entrance exam.
  • These criteria will also apply to the sons and daughters of BHU employees, and applicants belonging to SC /ST/ DIVYANG (OH) may be admitted if they score at least 25% in SET.  

CHS Admission 2023| Selection Process

CHS Admission 2023 will be based on the grades earned in the entrance examination, a merit list shall be established for admission to each class, and an applicant shall be awarded a seat in that class solely on the basis of merit. In case of a tie, the guidelines of Banaras Hindu University will be followed.- For admission into IX and XI classes, applicants must appear for counselling/admission and will be offered seats in the class/subject combination of their choice strictly on the basis of their merit rank while seats are available. Applicants appearing for counselling/admission in class XI must exercise their elective combination immediately on the day of counselling/admission.
NOTE
1. NO SEPARATE CALL LETTER WILL BE SENT TO CANDIDATES FOR COUNSELLING/ ADMISSION. THE MERIT LISTS SHALL BE DISPLAYED ON THE ENTRANCE TEST PORTAL www.bhuonline.in. THE CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO SEE THEIR POSITION IN THE MERIT LISTS AND ENSURE THEIR APPEARANCE IN THECOUNSELLING/ ADMISSION ALONGWITH RELEVANT DOCUMENTS (ORIGINAL MARKS-SHEET, DATE OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE, PREVIOUS SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE,CATEGORY CERTIFICATE, APLICATION FORM AND SET -2023 ADMIT CARD).
2. (i) CLASS IX: IF TWO OR MORE CANDIDATES FALL ON THE SAME MERIT OF SET -2023 , PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO THE CANDIDATE WHO IS OLDER IN AGE.
(ii) CLASS XI: IF TWO OR MORE CANDIDATES FALL ON THE SAME MERIT OF SET -2023-
(a) The admission in class XI shall be based on the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the class X board examination and shall be calculated as follows: Merit (percentage of marks obtained) = (total number of marks obtained / total number of maximum marks of the Subjects) X 100
(b) On boards where the marks obtained are expressed as a percentage, such as CISCE, New Delhi, merit is calculated as follows: Merit ( Percent marks obtained ) =Percent marks of subjects / Number of subjects 6
(c) If the total score is given on the mark-sheet, then the percentage will be calculated on that basis.
d) If two or more candidates have obtained the same score in the qualifying examination, then the merit between them shall be determined as indicated in Table 1-

If two or more candidates have the same score, even if calculated according to Table No. 1, then further merit will be determined based on the subject combinations according to TABLE 2-

If two or more candidates have the same merits even after the calculation according to TABLE 2, then the age of the candidates should be taken into consideration and the candidate who is older will be considered to have the greater merits.

CHS Admission 2023| Exam Pattern

The CHS Admission 2023 test will be conducted in paper and pencil format.Only ballpoint pens are allowed on the tests.Questions will be multiple-choice throughout the test.Applicants must circle the booklet number and roll number on the application. The number must also be indicated.

The syllabus for CHS Admission 2023 is given below-
  • Class IX: The Question Paper will be up to the class VIII standard, comprising 100 MCQs in the subjects English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science and Science.
  •   Class XI: The Question Paper will be up to class X standard comprising 100 MCQs for subjects-
Maths Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Gen. Studies.
Arts Group: English, Hindi, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Maths and Gen. Studies.
Commerce Group: English, Hindi, Economics, Maths and Gen. Studies.
Bio Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Gen. Studies.
