The Ministry of Home Affairs has released the official IB Recruitment notification PDF 2023 on 17th January 2023 for 1675 Security Assistants and MTS Vacancies on its official website @mha.gov.in. The online application portal for the IB Recruitment 2023 for SA and MTS Posts has been active from 28th January to 17th February 2023 on its official website. As per the official notification, a total number of 1675 vacancies are announced, among which 1525 vacancies are for the post of IB Security Assistant and the rest of 150 vacancies  for the MTS post.

IB Recruitment Tier-I Exam Pattern- (Common for SA/Exe & MTS/Gen) (100 Marks): Online Exam of Objective type MCQs, divided into 5 parts containing 20 questions of 1 mark each on: a) General Awareness b) Quantitative aptitude c) Numerical/analytical/Logical ability& reasoning d) English language & e) General Studies [Negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.]

IB Recruitment Tier-II Exam Pattern(Common for SA/Exe & MTS/Gen) (40 Marks): Offline Exam of Descriptive type a) Translation of a passage of 500 words from local language/dialect to English and vice versa. [The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Tier-II is 20 out of 50 for SA/Exe and 16 out of 40 for MTS/Gen.]

IB Recruitment Part of Tier-II – (for SA/Exe only) (10 Marks): b) Spoken ability {to be assessed at the time of Tier-III exam (Interview/ Personality test)}.

IB Recruitment Tier 2 Exam Pattern:

Part 1 (Common for all candidates)

– This will include the translation of a passage of 500 words from the local language/dialect to English and vice versa. This will be an offline descriptive test and will consist of 40 marks and the duration of the exam will be 1 hour.

Part 2 (Only for SA/Exe.)– Spoken ability. It will be assessed at the time of the Tier-III exam (Interview/ Personality test).

The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying mark in Tier 2 is 20 out of 50 for SA/Exe.
