Border Security Force (BSF) has officially released the BSF Tradesman Admit Card 2026 for Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the recruitment of Constables (Tradesman) Recruitment 2025. BSF PST and PET for the recruitment of Constable (Tradesman) (Male & Female) in BSF is scheduled from 26th December 2025 to 20th March 2026.

The Border Security Force Constable Tradesman Bharti is a central exam in which BSF recruits the candidates for Male/ Female as a Cook, Waiter, Tailor, Sweeper, W/C, W/M & Others Recruitment 2025 for 3636 Post. BSF Constable Tradesman 2025 | Selection Process
Candidates who submitted complete online application forms will be invited written examination. Candidates who pass the first stage of the examination will be invited to take the second (PST, PET, Documentation, and Trade Test). The steps in the selection process are listed below.

BSF Constable Tradesman 2025 | Exam Pattern
According to the previous selection process, the written exam was conducted after PET/PST. Now, the selection process has been changed for the BSF Constable Tradesman 2025 exam. The pattern of the written exam is as follows :

Exam Pattern : Test will be conducted on an OMR basis or CBT mode (which will be notified later).

Time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).

The written test will be of 100 Marks/ Questions. Each Part Will be of 25 Marks/ Questions.

Cut-off marks for written examination will be 35% for General and Ex-Servicemen and 33% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

The questions will be set both in Hindi and English. Candidates will have the option to answer either in Hindi or English.

BSF Constable Tradesman 2025 | Syllabus
The exam Syllabus for Constable (Tradesman) written test is given below:-
General Awareness/General Knowledge:
History, Geography, and Socio-Economic development of Himachal Pradesh. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The Paper will also include questions on the Modern History (From 1857 onwards) of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, and Geography of India.
Knowledge of elementary Mathematics:
The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.
Analytical Aptitude and ability to Observe the Distinguish Pattern:
It will include the question of both verbal and non-verbal types. Questions will be asked about analogies, similarities and differences, problem-solving, relationships, arithmetical computation, and other analytical functions, Venn diagrams, relationship concepts Ability to observe and distinguish patterns, etc.
General English:
The candidate's ability to understand correct English, basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested. Questions will be asked about error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, prepositions, articles, etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, etc.
General Hindi:
मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्तियाँ, संधि समास, हिंदी भाषा के प्रयोग में होने वाली अशुद्धियाँ, शब्द रचना वाक्य रचना अर्थ, अर्थबोध, क्रियाएँ, वर्तनी, पर्यायवाची शब्द/ विलोम शब्द,अनेकार्थी शब्द, संधि समास, वाक्याशों के लिये एक शब्द निर्माण, शब्द-रूप, हिंदी वर्णमाला, तत्सम एवं तद्भव देशज विदेशी (शब्द भंडार), वाक्यसंशोधन- लिंग, वचन, कारक, काल, वर्तनी, त्रुटि से संबंधित.

1) Experience-based Promotion: After completing the specific number of years'service, a candidate gets promoted to the rank of ASI or SI. In this procedure, they are promoted to Head Constables first, then to Constables, then to ASIs, and finally to Sub Inspectors. A constable typically advances to the rank of Sub-Inspector at the end of their service.

2) Limited Departmental Candidates (LDC) Examination: After completing a minimum of 4 years of service at constable rank with good APARs grading (Clean service record) and being a holder of a graduation degree,one is eligible to undergo the LDC examination. After clearing the written examination and Physical Efficiency Test, they are directly promoted to the Rank of Sub Inspector after undergoing training at the academy.
