CTET  2022 Notification has been officially released on 20 October 2022. Candidates who carries  a dream in their heart to become govt. teacher, can now finally give exam for Paper 1 and Paper 2. CTET Exam Date 2022, CTET Online Application will be released soon. 

Aspiring candidates have to apply online only through the CTET website i.e. https://ctet.nic.in. The online application process will be starting on the following dates:

  • CTET Online Application Start DATE: 31 October 2022 (Monday)
  • CTET Online Application End DATE: 24 November 2022 (Thursday) till 23:59 hrs. 

The fee can be paid up to 25-11-2022 (Friday) before 15:30 hrs. You can download CTET notification here

What is the CTET Exam?

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the CTET, or Central Teacher Eligibility Test, as a national examination.The purpose of this exam is to see if applicants are qualified to be appointed as teachers in government schools. CTET is held twice a year and is for educators who wish to teach students in grades 1 to 8.

There are two different CTET exam types: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who want to teach grades 1-5 are required to take Paper 1. Candidates who want to teach grades 5-8 show up for paper 2. And if you apply for both paper 1 & paper 2, then you are eligible to teach classes 1 - 8.

CTET Certificate Validity

To apply for a teacher in government school, it's important for candidates to have a valid CTET certificate.  The validity of CTET certificate has now been increased to lifetime instead of 7 years. Now CTET certificate will be valid for lifetime from the date of result declaration.

Eligibility Criteria for CTET 2022

Only candidates with permanent Indian citizenship are eligible to apply for this exam. Students from Nepal and Bhutan can also apply. 

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements, to apply for the CTET Exam 2022 :

Age Limit for CTET 2022

To be eligible for CTET, candidates must be at least 17 years old. There is no upper age limit for CTET applicants. A candidate may retake the CTET exam as many times as he or she would like.

The Educational Qualification Eligibility for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is given below:

CTET 2022 Primary Teacher Paper 1 Eligibility:

If you want to become a government primary teacher in CBSE schools through CTET Exam 2022 then before submitting the CTET 2022 December Online Form, carefully review the eligibility requirements.

  • Code 01 - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms OR
  • Code 02 - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms OR
  • Code 03 - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Code 04 - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  • Code 05 - Graduation with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed Examination.

CTET 2022 Upper Primary Teacher Paper 2 Eligibility

Those candidates who want to become a government upper primary teacher in CBSE schools through CTET Exam 2022, read the eligibility carefully before applying CTET 2022 December Online Form:

  • Code 01 - Bachelor's Degree and passing or appearing in final year of 2-year Elementary Education Diploma (by whatever name known). OR
  • Code 02 - Graduation with at least 50% and passing or enrolling in a 1-year Bachelor of Education programme (B.Ed). OR 
  • Code 03 - Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or enrolling in a 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme in accordance with NCTE standards. OR
  • Code 04 - Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR 
  • Code 05 - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed OR Code 06 - Bachelor Degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed (B.Ed Special Education)
  • Code 06 – Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education)
  • Code 07 - Any candidate who has completed a B.Ed. programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to take TET/CTET.

CTET Exam Pattern  - Paper 1 & Paper 2

All question types will be MCQs. Paper 1 will be for candidates applying for primary teacher while paper 2 will be for upper primary teacher. The time duration is of two hours and thirty minutes in which the candidate has to solve 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs).

CTET 2022: Steps to Apply Online

To kickstart your career as government teachers, aspirants must first complete the CTET application online process. 

On the official website, the application form will be available. Candidates must have their own email address and a personal phone number, both of which will be required for registration and sending alert messages throughout the process.

  • Step 1: Visit CTET exam's official website.
  • Step 2: Enter all the necessary details as required.
  • Step 3: Submit the scanned photos and signature.
  • Step 4: Pay the registration fees.

CTET Admit Card 2022

The CTET admit card is not released yet. Once the official notification stating the exam date is released, it will be available for download, few days before the exam.

How to download CTET admit card

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of CTET.
  • Step 2: Tap on “Download CTET Admit Card 2022 (Server 1)” or ” Download Central TET Admit Card 2022 (Server 2)”.
  • Step 3: Enter your details :
    • Application Number.
    • Date of Birth (in Day-Month-Year format).
    • Security Pin.
  • Step 4: Click on the “Download CTET Admit Card 2022” button.
  • Step 5: Take a printout of the (admit card) hall ticket for the CTET 2022 exam.

The admit card for each registered candidate will be available for download on the official website of CTET,  few days before the exam.

Note: It is mandatory for the students to carry self-declaration form along with the admit card to the examination center.

Detailed Syllabus of CTET 2022 - Paper 1 & Paper 2

According to the official announcement, the curriculum includes Child Development & Pedagogy, Language, Mathematics and Science, Environment Science, and Social Sciences. 

The CTET syllabus for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is different. Candidates must ensure that they follow the syllabus of the paper they are appearing.

The official notification describes the intended syllabus but does not go into detail about topics and sections. We have divided the syllabus into topics based on last year's question papers for the candidate's benefit.

What is the next date of CTET exam 2022?

 

The official notification for the CTET 2022 exam will be released soon. It is expected to be conducted in December, 2022.

Is B.Ed necessary for CTET exam?

 

Yes. As per the NCTE, the minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for CTET is to have graduated with at least 45-50 percent marks and teach professional courses like B.El.Ed/ D.Ed/ B.Ed/ B.Ed (Special Education).

How many attempts are there for CTET exam?

 

No restriction on number of attempts. A person can attempt as many times as necessary to acquire the CTET Certificate; there is no cap on this. A candidate who has already passed the CTET may retake it to increase their score.
