SBI Clerk 2023 Notification

SBI Clerk is a central level exam conducted by  State Bank of India for the purpose of recruiting junior associates (Customer Support & Sales). The exam invites interested applicants to apply online. Only one State/UT is allowed for candidates to apply for vacancies. Candidates should be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the designated local language of the State or UT in which they are applying for a position. As part of the recruitment process, a test for language proficiency in the chosen local dialect is administered. Before joining the bank and following the mains exam, it is held. SBI Clerk 2023 | Application Fee

SBI Clerk 2023 | Eligibility

SBI Clerk Age Limit:

Candidates must not be below 20 years and not above 28 years as of 01 April 2023. Candidates must have been born between January 1, 2002, and February 2, 1994, inclusive (both days inclusive).

SBI Clerk Education Qualification:

  • The candidate must hold a graduate degree in any field from an educational institute, or hold an equivalent qualifications recognised as such by the Central Government.
  • Candidates with integrated dual degree certification must make sure their date of passing their integrated dual degree is on or before the deadline for application submission.

SBI Clerk Nationality:

  • A Citizen of India or
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, and the United Republic of Tanzania

SBI Clerk 2023 | Pre Exam pattern

The SBI Clerk Pre 2023 exam comprises English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability as the three main sections.
  • The exam carries 100 total marks.
  • The four sections of the main exam are general/financial awareness, general English, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning ability & computer aptitude.
  • There are 200 total points available for the mains exam. The prelims exam is 2 hours and 40 minutes long and lasts 60 minutes.
  • Both exam phases have sectional timings.
  • There is a negative marking of 1/4th.

SBI Clerk 2023 | Language Proficiency Test

  • Candidates who pass the SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2023 are then eligible to move on to the Local Language Test, which is the next stage of the recruiting process.
  • Candidates who can present evidence that they studied the chosen local language in their 10th or 12th grade do not need to take the language test.
  • A particular local language test will be held for other successful candidates who do not have such a certificate. After provisional selection but before the joining process, this test will be conducted.
  • Candidates will be disqualified and ineligible for further consideration if it is determined that they lack proficiency in the chosen local language.

SBI Clerk 2023 | Provisional Selection

The following three criteria must be met for a candidate to be selected in the final round of the SBI Clerk selection process which are Pre exam, mains exam and Language proficiency test. The final selection of the SBI Clerk is based on the marks attained by applicants at each stage of the hiring process. It becomes even more beneficial for them to outperform in all three stages of the selection process.
The merit list will be finalised by state and by category. The state for which they are applying will post the candidates. In the first five years of employment, candidates will not be eligible for intra- or interstate transfers.
