KVS Syllabus 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the KVS Recruitment 2026 exam to fill 9126 posts in teaching and non-teaching categories. This year, the KVS has updated its syllabus. From this year, there will be a two-tier exam followed by a skill test/interview (as per the post). Tier 1 Exam (Objective) will be the same for all posts, whereas Tier 2 (Objective + Descriptive) will vary depending on the subject chosen. KVS Exam Pattern 2026 (Revised)

Eligible candidates can check the KVS exam pattern based on the post they have applied for. The exam pattern for KVS TGT and PRT is the same. Tier 1 will be the same for all posts, while Tier 2 will change according to the subject you choose. You can see the updated KVS exam pattern in the section below.

KVS Exam Pattern 2026 (Tier 1)

The KVS Tier 1 Exam includes 6 parts, for which the complete KVS Exam Pattern 2026 is given below. Candidates must check the exam pattern to prepare well for their concerned subject because this section holds the maximum marks.

1. As part of the KVS Tier 1 test, there will be 100 questions asked.

2. Each question is worth three points, with a one-point penalty for incorrect answers.

3. The KVS PGT Exam lasts two hours (120 minutes).

4. The exam will be a computer-based test.

KVS Exam Pattern 2026 (Tier 2)

  • Tier 2 for all posts will be the Subject Knowledge Examination, conducted through a combination of pen-paper and OMR-based formats.
  • Each objective-type question in Tier 2 carries 1 mark.
  • There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
  • 0.25 marks (1/4th) will be deducted for every incorrect response.
