SSC MTS / Havaldar PET / PST Exam Date 2026

The Staff Selection Commission has scheduled the SSC MTS / Havaldar PET and PST exam for August 24 to August 31, 2026. Physical tests are being held at various Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) centers across the country for the 8,071 shortlisted candidates. While the official notification and application for the new 2026 cycle has been postponed.

The commission will release the SSC MTS Recruitment 2025 CBT 1 Admit Card within 10-15 days of the exam. Candidates should be aware that they must bring their admit card to the exam center or risk being barred from taking the SSC MTS examination. SSC MTS Vacancy 2025 (Revised)

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced the revised SSC MTS 2025 vacancies on 27 November 2025, updating the total number of posts to 7,948. Although the overall count has changed due to revisions in Havaldar posts, the MTS vacancies remain the same at 6,810—consisting of 6,078 posts for the 18–25 age group and 732 posts for the 18–27 age group. Meanwhile, Havaldar vacancies have been reduced from 1,211 to 1,138. This revision mainly reflects adjustments in Havaldar posts and region-wise modifications in the final vacancy list.
