RBI Assistant 2026 Application Fee

The RBI Assistant 2026 Exam Application Fee is Rs. 450 for General and OBC Candidates and Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PWD Candidates, payable online via net banking or credit/debit card.

RBI Assistant 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: A candidate is required to be

(a) a citizen of India or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or 
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

RBI Assistant Age Limit (as of 01/09/2023)

A candidate must be between 20 to 28 years of age to be eligible for the RBI Assistant 2026 Exam. Age relaxation is given to candidates belonging to the reserved category. The age relaxations granted by the Government of India are mentioned in the table below:

RBI Assistant Educational Qualification

A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50% (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) and above in any discipline to be eligible for the RBI Assistant 2026 Exam.

RBI Assistant Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

According to the RBI Assistant notification 2026 PDF, the selection process has three stages i.e. 

• Preliminary exam
• Mains exam
• LPT (Language Proficiency Test)

Prelims: This phase is qualifying in nature. Marks of this phase aren't considered for the final selection.

Mains: Marks obtained in this phase will be considered for the final selection. Hence, just clearing the cut-off is not enough; scoring good marks is essential to ensure your selection.

Language Proficiency Test: As per the RBI Assistant notification 2026 pdf download, the final selection will be based on the performance in the main & language proficiency tests. This test will be conducted in the local language of the concerned state. Candidates found inefficient in the local language would be disqualified.
