Selection Process

The Selection process for the Central Railway ITI Apprentice is based on the merit list only. All the candidates will be selected for an apprentice on the basis of the marks obtained in the 10th standard and the ITI Marksheet. Selection will be based on a merit list prepared for all individuals who apply in response to the notification. The merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation (minimum of 50% aggregate) plus ITI marks in the trade in which the Apprenticeship will be completed. The panel shall be formed on the basis of a simple average of matriculation and ITI marks.

(In short) 10th Class Marks + ITI Marks = Merit List

Salary

The minimum salary for a diploma or degree (graduate) apprentice during the first year of training is Rs. 8000. Apprentice candidates would be paid Rs. 8800 per month during the second year of their training diploma or graduate degree.
