NTA GAT-B and BET 2023 | Notification
The National Testing Agency has published an official notice for Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT -B) / Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) - 2023. Eligible candidates can apply online for NTA GAT-B and BET 2023 from March 10, 2023 to March 31, 2023 (by 5:00 pm) through the official website of NTA.

Applicants may apply for GAT -B/ BET 2023 or both online only. Application forms submitted by any other means will not be accepted. Each candidate may submit only one application. NTA GAT-B and BET 2023 | Eligibility
Students who wish to apply for the GAT -B 2023 exam must review the admission criteria before completing the application form. The GAT -B eligibility criteria are the minimum age and academic qualification that a candidate must meet in order to apply for admission to various DBT assisted programmes offered by the university. Those applicants who do not meet the GAT -B Admission Criteria 2023 will not be eligible for admission to the respective universities even if they pass the entrance test.
Qualification Criteria

GAT-B Admission Criteria 2023 - M.Tech
As per GAT -B Admission Criteria 2023 for M.Tech programmes, candidates must have a B.Tech/ BE degree in the respective discipline with a minimum of 60% (General, EWS & OBC category) or 55% (SC,ST & PwD) from the participating university.

GAT-B Admission Criteria 2023 - M.Sc
Only candidates who have completed their 10+2+3 pattern degree in the respective discipline with a minimum of 60% (General, EWS & OBC category) or 55% (SC,ST & PwD) from a recognised university will be considered for admission to M.Sc. programmes.

GAT-B Admission Criteria 2023 - M.VSc Animal Biotechnology
To meet the GAT -B 2023 admission criteria of the M.VSc Animal Biotechnology programme, candidates must have a B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree or equivalent from a recognised university with a minimum CGPA of 6.60 on a 10 scale or 2.60 on a 4 scale or 60% marks in traditional system. Applicants belonging to reserved categories (SC /ST) must have a grade point average of 5.60 on a 10.00 scale, 2.20 on a 4.00 scale and a 50% score.
Age Criteria

For the BET 2023 exam, the maximum age must be 28 years for the General and EWS categories.

There is no age restriction for the GAT-B exam.
NTA GAT-B and BET 2023 | Selection Process
Candidates eligible for the NTA GAT-B and BET 2023 exam must qualify for the computer-based test along with the eligibility criteria mentioned above in this blog for the selection process. The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) and Department of Biotechnology (DBT) will not play any role and will not be responsible for the admission & selection process ( transfer / cancellation / conversion of seats/ fee refund policy) of participating institutions/ universities.

NTA GAT-B and BET 2023 | Result
The results of NTA GAT-B and BET 2023 will be announced by the National Examination Agency. The merit list includes the rank obtained by the candidates based on their performance in the entrance examination. Students who participate in the entrance examination can view the result and download their rank list by visiting the official website and entering their credentials. The institutions participating in the admission process of GAT -B and BET 2023 will release the waiting list after the result is announced. The waiting list for GAT -B and BET 2023 is created based on the rank of the candidate used by the participating universities for admission.
