Bihar Police Steno ASI Educational Qualification
- Passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board or institute.
- Possess a Diploma in computer operation from a recognized institution.
Bihar Police ASI Steno Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The selection process will include a written examination and a typing test. Candidates who qualify for the written test will be eligible for the typing test.
- Written Test: The written examination will consist of Paper I: General Hindi and Paper II: General Knowledge and Reasoning. Paper I will have a maximum of 100 marks with a time duration of 90 minutes and Paper II will have a total of 200 marks with a duration of 2 hours.
- Skill Test: Candidates who pass the written examination will undergo a skill test which will test their shorthand and typing speed. Candidates must have a shorthand speed of 80 WPM in Hindi; a transcription speed of 30 WPM on a computer and a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM in Hindi.
- Merit List: The merit list of selected candidates will be prepared based on the overall score of candidates in written exam followed by skill test.
- DV & Medical Examination – Selected candidates will undergo document verification and medical examination.
