• To be eligible for the JNVST Class 6 exam, the candidate’s age must be between 9 and 11 years old. A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 01-05-2015 and after 31-07-2017 (Both dates are inclusive).
• Candidates must be in Class V for the entire academic session in a government-recognized school or ‘B’ Certificate Competency Course of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) in the same district
• A candidate from the rural quota must have studied and passed classes III, IV, and V at a Govt. recognized school for one full academic session each year in a rural school.
• Candidates who have not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before September 30th are not eligible to apply.

• At least one-third of the total seats are reserved for girls
• OBC students will be given a 27% reservation in addition to SC and ST students.
