UPPSC Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

UPPSC Recruitment 2025–26 has fixed eligibility rules for Group A and Group B posts. Candidates must meet the required education, age limit, and experience for the post. Only eligible candidates, as per the official UPPSC 2025 notification, will be considered for selection.

1. Nationality

  • Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • Domicile in Uttar Pradesh is required for reservation benefits.

2. Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years
  • Age relaxation available for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per government norms.

3. Educational Qualification

Must be duly registered with the Uttar Pradesh Veterinary Council.
Homoeopathic Medical OfficerA recognised degree in Homoeopathy, the duration of study of which is not less than five years according to its syllabus or course.
Swasthya Shiksha AdhikariCandidate must possess a Master’s Degree from a recognised University in Sociology or any subject of Social Science
Chikitsa Adhikari (Ayurved)A degree in Ayurveda from a University established by law in India (OR)
Five-year degree or diploma in Ayurvedic of the Board of Indian Medicine, Uttar Pradesh
Dental SurgeonMust possess at least B.D.S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Indian Dental Council.
Inspector of DrugsDegree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology or equivalent from a recognised University;

UPPSC 2025 Exam Pattern

UPPSC Exam 2025 Exam Pattern is different for Prelims and Mains exams. The former has objective MCQ-type questions, while the Mains has descriptive questions. The details of both are given here.

UPPSC Prelims Exam Pattern

  • There will be two question papers in the preliminary test.
  • Paper II qualifies with the necessary score of 33%, while Paper I is evaluated on merit.
  • For each incorrect response, one-third of the total marks are deducted.
  • Each paper takes two hours to complete.
