About the Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojana
The Himachal Pradesh government has started this post 10+2 scholarship scheme named Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojana. This scholarship is useful for meritorious students of Himachal state weather they belong to SC/ST or any other caste. Additionally, a total of 150 meritorious students will receive the scholarship amount based on merit. This amount is ₹ 10,000 per annum but the state government has proposed to increase this amount to 18000/- per annum. this scheme every year awards 150 meritorious students of the state of all streams including Science, Arts and Commerce. In simple words, any Himachal Pradesh student who is studying in 12th standard and comes in the merit list can apply for this scheme to get financial support for further studies. Moreover, the government will provide this scholarship strictly on 10+2 merit declared by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala.

- The beneficiaries can renew and continue to carry this scheme till they complete degree/diploma certificate course without any failure.
How Can We Apply for Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojana?
To apply for the Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojana, the eligible candidates can login to the National Scholarship Portal and can follow the steps given below-
- On the official website of National Scholarship Portal click on “New Registration”.
- After reading the guidelines click on “Continue”.
- Fill the registration form and submit it.
- Then, your application ID and password will be generated.
- Now, come back to home page and click on “Login to Apply”.
- Then login with your application number and pasword.
- With the OTP create a new password and confirm it.
- Then click “Submit”
- Again new page will appear and you have to click on “Application Form”
